About Brenda

From fashion design to interior design

Brenda Russell believes in making everyone feel comfortable and comforted in their living environment.

Brenda strives not to have a signature style but to reflect the client's mode of living with sophistication, simplicity and a sense of who they are.

"The biggest thing for me is having the clients' home look like them, not me," says Brenda. "I need to know who my clients are, how they live their lives and what makes them happy".

"What gives me pleasure is creating an environment that is beautiful, welcoming, and energetic with a modern twist. I love color and gorgeous natural fabrics such as silk, cotton, cashmere, mohair, wool, satin and taffeta."

Brenda was trained at Parsons School of Design in New York and established a fashion-design business in that city shortly after leaving Parsons. She worked with textile companies making garments for showrooms, trade publications and commercials.

Brenda soon discovered that fashion design and interior design go hand in hand and that there is a natural transition from one to the other.

Brenda's creative interests, developed in the fashion industry, are now applied to interior design in Virginia, North Carolina and New Jersey.
